"Nothing Is Disposable" 2012
Nothing is Disposable is an installation which was first show as part of Climate Week NYC in 2012. The idea started as a collection of prints on paper. Moving the imagery onto fabric, I set the tablecloth for a meal of convenience food and discarded packaging.

The impact of humans and the environmental "marks" we leave are themes that repeat throughout the piece.

Detail of Nothing Is Disposable
Scattered across the tablecloth, are embroidered QR codes. The codes link to information on topics that range from the 5 Gyres in the pacific ocean to Colony collapse disorder. The interactive aspect of the piece is designed to stimulate "dinner" conversation on these important issues.
